As stated in the email, the “Peaceful Fight” is over, as of today. But do not worry, I am not going anywhere 🙂 The GGwarrior.com project was a 5 month project, starting from March 13, and ending at today, August 13, 2020.
Each month represented a classical element. At the beginning of the fight (March 2020), you were still using UPS, and you were not using their Carbon Neutral Service. However, you changed your carrier to DHL, and again, on behalf on mother nature, I would like to thank you. Now, your products are shipped with DHL’s lovely electric cars, and sometimes with electric bikes (in the Netherlands).
You still LOVE plastic.
You also launched the first “sustainable” collection, Off The Grid. However, you ship that collection with plastic, and this is not correct. Also, to be honest, most of the products from the collection includes leather trim, and I also do not understand the point of that.
The “real” sustainable product in the collection is, the following shoe, because it does not contain any leather.

Gucci still loves plastic.
Gucci made the so-called “sustainable” collection, Off The Grid. However, the name is inappropriate and I suggest it to be changed with “ON THE GRID” since it comes with plastic!
Unfortunately, stopping plastic by 2030 is not really promising as well as it does not sound really sustainable.
What about all the plastic that you will cause between 2020 and 2030.
We can not change the past, as you already caused too much plastic pollution, but we can change the future!
Also, I have a kind objection to the recent update in your website. You simply can not claim that you are sustainable considering the amount of plastic that you use! Please remove the “Responsible” icon. Or even better, you can say the following “Irresponsible, due to Kering’s decisions”
Also, UPS provides carbon neutral service, but you do not USE it. Therefore, the last chain in the process is not carbon neutral, that being from your warehouse to the consumer. I know this is Kering’s decision.

As you know, your products are being shipped with incredible amount of plastic. As you know the new so-called sustainable collection, Off The Grid also came with plastic.
This is against the idea of the collection, since the collection is supposed to be sustainable. Your packaging is not sustainable. Your Off The Grid collection brings plastic to the planet. STOP USING PLASTIC!
